What led you to Earth and Space science?

Since 2015, when I joined Oceanographic Research vessel as Chief Mate. I have been involved with the day to day scientific operations, with respect to safety of scientists, students and their equipment being deployed and retrieved from water.
I have been taking keen interest in understanding the principles, applications and working mechanisms of various scientific equipment available on-board.
I am now a Captain and would like to use my sailing experience combined with my thirst and interest for ocean sciences to further study while sailing on Research Vessels worldwide.

How long have you been a member of AGU and why did you join?

Since Jan 2017. I joined to find like minded people to help pursue my interest in ocean research and ocean research vessels.

What are you working on now?

Working as Captain on a Ocean research vessel.
