What led you to Earth and Space science?

Collecting rocks as a kid in Alaska

How long have you been a member of AGU and why did you join?

Since 1982 or 83. That’s where the action was (San Francisco and Baltimore meetings)

What are you working on now?

Breaking the one micron size barrier in electron microprobe analysis, using lower voltages and non-traditional x-ray lines. Lots of materials under that category….Studying strange quasi-volcanic glasses (Trinity).
