What led you to Earth and Space science?

Since my first years of study at the University, I knew where I wanted to be and what I wanted to achieve in the future. My career goals are to bring environmental protection policies and practices of developed countries to countries with poor or non-existent environmental policies, to achieve an environmental sustainability, and to combat the current challenges of poor public health and the destruction of the environment associated with environmentally unsustainable mining practices.

How long have you been a member of AGU and why did you join?

6 years. Be a member of AGU as an honor for me! Such a great place to meet high professional, motivated people all around the world!

What are you working on now?

Research study focuses on the environmental regulations and pollution from mining industry, as well as analyses and development of the social responsibility techniques in mining – community relations for North America.
