Grant Programs
AGU has established and administers two membership grant programs, as follows:
- The Berkner Membership Program provides free, three-year memberships to individual scientists in countries striving to develop their geophysical sciences, often under the burden of low gross national product. See qualifying country list.
- The Lend-A-Hand Program allows Members to help their colleagues in countries with currency restrictions or low exchange rates. Through a gift of $100, Members provide a scientist with the full benefits of AGU for two years. Members may also donate AGU journal subscriptions. Donations may be made for a specific recipient or to fund individuals who lack sponsors. See qualifying country list.
